GATE 2016
Graduate Aptitude test in Engineering is an all India examination conducted to check the comprehensive understanding of the students in the subjects of Engineering and Technology. The GATE Exam is jointly conducted by Institute of Science and various IITs on behalf of National Coordination Board. The GATE exam 2016 will be organised by Indian institute of Technology (IIT) Kanpur. GATE qualification is one of the minimal requirements taken into consideration by government organization to apply for various fellowships programmes.

There is various eligibility criteria required to consider before applying for GATE 2016 which are

Candidates holding bachelors degree of four year after 10+2 in the field of Engineering/Architecture/Technology or those who are in the final year can apply.
Candidates holding Masters Degrees in the field of Science/Statistics/Computer Application/Mathematics or equivalent or appearing in final year are eligible.
Candidates those who have cleared there degree courses from institutes that are recognized through UPSC/AICTE which have done B.Tech or B.E or equivalent are also eligible.
The Score in GATE exam reflect the relative performance of the candidate hence they are used for admission to Post graduate engineering degrees like M.E, M.Tech and direct PhD etc. The valid score also play important role to get financial assistance during Master engineering programmes and help to pursue direct Doctoral degrees in several relevant branches of Science and other accordingly.

The GATE is conducted mainly through constitution of eight zones and the overall responsibility to carry out these exams is handled by The Institute of Technology, Bombay which has been designated as Organizing Institute for GATE exams.

The application procedure for GATE 2016 has been completed. The tentative dates for GATE 2016 are 31st January 2016, 1st Feb’15, 7th Feb’15, 8th Feb’15, and 14th Feb’15.
